In partnership with the VCU School of Nursing and Richmond Henrico Health District, RPS will be providing free school entrance physicals for newly enrolling elementary students in grades K-5 (without a recent physical completed within the past 12 months).

We’re excited to begin preparing for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year! To help you get a head start, we wanted to let you know that the school supply list is now available for all grade levels. You can find the list located here on our website.

RPS is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided, on a first-come, first-served basis, at the sites and times listed below. Children must remain on-site while consuming their meals.
RPS is excited to offer a variety of free summer learning opportunities for RPS students in grades PreK-12. Programs are designed to support academic growth, credit recovery, and a smooth transition to the next grade level.

Summer school for students in grades PreK-4 is by invitation only. Students will receive a letter from their home school with a unique QR code to register.
PK - 8th Grade
(June 9 - July 10)
Monday-Thursday
Grades PK-4: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Grades 5-8: 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Each year, we are committed to improving the ways in which we support our students and their families. We kindly ask that you take a few moments to complete our family survey. Please be assured that all responses will remain confidential, and no personal information will be disclosed. Caregivers have until May 30, 2025, to complete the survey.
