Nicholas LeReche
Principal
I am Nicholas “Nick” LeReche, the proud Principal of Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary School.I grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Herndon High School. I came to Richmond to attend VCU, and after graduating, I put down roots and made the Richmond area my home. I spent 10 years teaching exceptional education to middle school students before earning my endorsement in educational leadership from VCU. I have served in school leadership now for 15 years, with 5 of those years being as a building Principal.
I am deeply committed to our mission of empowering every child to work hard and be great by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports the whole child and celebrates the unique strengths of every student, every day. I believe in leading through collaboration, using data to guide instructional decisions, and empowering teachers to grow as leaders so that all students can succeed.
My leadership is grounded in our vision of developing confident learners who think critically, act compassionately, and strive boldly toward a just and limitless future. I am passionate about helping students and staff believe in their ability to lead, innovate, and uplift their communities, and I value strong partnerships with families and the community as essential to making that vision a reality. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your scholar!
